In recent years, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has moved into a primarily off-road SUV into a vehicle that is equally comfortable on and off-road. Millersburg drivers appreciate the versatility, style, and technology features in the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and fans of this car will be especially pleased with the latest news out of Jeep headquarters. According to a report from Cars.com, the upcoming 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee will be even more powerful and more efficient than ever before.
Here at Village Motors Inc., we don’t yet have this new Jeep car in stock, but we’re looking to receive it in the coming weeks. On the exterior, things remain relatively the same, with some subtle updates that make the Grand Cherokee even more attractive than before. Under the hood is where you’ll find the largest changes, as the base 3.6-liter V6 adds more power and is rated at 295 horsepower. Of course, you’ll also be able to upgrade to a high-powered V8 engine on the top-of-the-line SRT. This trim level also receives a new aluminum suspension and a revised gauge cluster. The new Performance Pages system adds more performance timers and six pre-configured drive modes for snow, towing, and other conditions, plus a customizable mode.
Additionally, Jeep is promising better gas mileage number, although we don’t yet know the numbers themselves. A few notable additions to the engine will help aid in efficiency, such as electric power steering, lower-rolling-resistance tires, and weight savings. On the SRT V8 engine, a new Valet mode will reduce the amount of power the engine puts out.
Look for the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee to hit our dealership in the coming weeks!
