The Dodge Charger is one of America’s most beloved muscle cars, along with the Dodge Challenger. Last month, we heard from FCA US LLC that the Dodge Challenger will go electric in the next generation, and now, we’re hearing rumors about upcoming 2020 Dodge Charger models. As your local Dodge dealership serving Wooster, OH, we’re beaming with excitement to hear what’s to come.

According to Mopar Insiders, a wide-body model of the Dodge Charger is being created for 2020. The car’s wider shape will not only give it a meaner look, but it’s allegedly coming with its own engine, suspension, and available trim levels. This design is said to be similar to the current Hellcat and Hellcat Redeye configurations.

Under the hood, it’s expected to offer a powerful 6.7-liter HEMI® V8 engine that achieves 465 horsepower. Not only is this engine powerful, but it’s proved its reliability in past Dodge cars.

The 2020 Dodge Charger wide-body variant will come in two trim levels: the R/T Scat Pack and the SRT Hellcat. If you’re unfamiliar with Dodge Charger trim levels, the R/T Scat Pack can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds, and the 2019 SRT Hellcat in just 3.4 seconds. To say the Dodge Charger is a fast car would be an understatement.

The Dodge Charger is the perfect car for the young at heart and those who have a need for speed. It’s one of our most popular Dodge cars here at Village Motors Inc., and it continues to impress us with improvements every year.

If the rumored wide-body Dodge Charger models are confirmed, we’ll be proud to host them in our inventory of new cars for sale near New Philadelphia, OH for 2020. Imagine taking a test drive in one of the fastest street-legal cars in America!
