When Millersburg residents are looking to buy a pickup truck, more often than not what lies underneath the hood is main concern. After all, if a pickup truck’s engine isn’t up to snuff, the truck won’t be able to sufficiently complete the towing, heavy lifting, and other work-related tasks that people require of it. Luckily for Millersburg drivers, the 2015 RAM 1500 is loaded with a number of different engine options that range from gasoline to diesel.
Now on the lot at our local Millersburg RAM dealership, the 2015 RAM 1500 comes in a number of different trims and configurations. But no matter which one you choose, you can be sure that it will be able to complete all the tasks you need it to. First of all, the base Tradesman trim is loaded with a 3.6-liter gasoline V6 that cranks out 305 horsepower and 269 pound-per-foot of torque. This engine is matched to a smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission.
Of course, if they want more power in their RAM 1500 inventory, Millersburg drivers can upgrade to an even larger engine. Standard on the Sport, Laramie Longhorn and Laramie Limited and optional on all other trims except the HFE is a 5.7-liter V8 engine that creates 395 horsepower and 410 pound-per-foot of torque. This engine can either be paired with a six-speed or an eight-speed automatic transmission. Finally, new this year is the turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel V6. This efficient engine cranks out 240 horsepower and 420 pound-per-foot of torque while also delivering an impressive 23 miles per gallon combined. The EcoDiesel is the most fuel efficient pickup truck engine on the market.
