Here at Village Motors Inc., we are always looking ahead to the upcoming models of our favorite vehicles. Although the 2015 iteration of the storied Chrysler Town & Country minivan just hit our new vehicle inventory recently, the 2017 model has already been announced and previewed by FCA US LLC. As you may already know, this is sadly the last year of production for the long-running Dodge Grand Caravan, which means the Town & Country will be the focus of all the talented minivan engineers at FCA US LLC. From what we have learned, the 2017 version of the minivan will be seeing some major upgrades.
Car spies for “Car and Driver” recently spotted a camouflaged version of the 2017 Chrysler Town & Country driving down the street. Of course, because it was covered with camouflage, they weren’t able to see the entirety of the exterior, but we did learn a few things about the vehicle. First off, it appears that the roof features a stylish crossover-like taper and the body will sit lower than it did in previous versions. We also know that the rear suspension is set to be upgraded from a twist-beam rear axle to a multilink arrangement. What this means is the vehicle will be able to shift more smoothly and the interior will feature more space due to the new configuration of the suspension.
Perhaps the biggest innovation with the upcoming 2017 Chrysler Town & Country is the fact that it will have the option of including a plug-in hybrid option. This is a big deal because this van will be the first commercially available minivan to include this gas-saving option.
While you’re waiting for this new van to arrive, we invite drivers of Millersburg, to take a look at the 2015 Chrysler Town & Country models currently available at Village Motors Inc.!
