When they buy the SRT trim of the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Wooster and Millersburg residents get a version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee that is larger than all the other trims. Most other SUVs on the market are outfitted with a V6 engine, but the SRT doesn’t follow that logic, instead giving people what they really want: a massive V8. The 6.4-liter V8 on the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT has been tweaked to put out five more horsepower than last year, giving it a total rating of 475, as well as 470 pound-per-foot of torque. Meanwhile, the new ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic transmission provides drivers with a smooth ride.
The SRT isn’t like the other trims of the Jeep Grand Cherokee in other ways, too. On the exterior, the SRT gets gloss black badging and grille surrounds, a unique SRT wheel cap center, and Black Vapor Chrome Goliath wheels. A set of Pirelli all-season run-flat tires comes standard and helps you traverse rough terrain. On the interior, you’ll get a steering wheel that lights up at night and black leather seats with red suede inserts.
