Each year, editors at “Consumer Guide” magazine choose the best products in a variety of categories, including automobiles. However, they look at more than just overall quality, as value to the consumer also plays a big role. In order to determine the winners of the revered Best Buy designation, the automotive editors test drive over 150 minivans, SUVs, sedans, and pickup trucks. They then select the top choice in each class and name the Best Buys based on a combination of comparative value and overall vehicle quality.
Chrysler Group vehicles have typically performed well at the tests, but this year took it to new heights. In total, five Chrysler Group vehicles – Dodge Durango, Chrysler 200, Chrysler Town & Country, Dodge Grand Caravan, and RAM 1500 – were named Best Buys. “Consumer Guide” only had positive things to say about the 2015 Dodge Durango.It features a standard eight-speed automatic transmission, improved fuel economy and performance, and LED exterior lighting on the exterior. On the inside, the vehicle also features a dual-screen Blu-Ray entertainment system and a programmable instrument cluster.
